Depression

Trouble making simple decisions from what to wear to concentrating during conversations you used to enjoy.

Unexplained physical pain and aches.

Unusually tired earlier than others.

It’s more than being sad or going through a rough period of the blues.  It’s changes in your sleep, appetite, and energy, a lack of interest in activities you used to enjoy, hopelessness, and sometimes thoughts of dying by suicide.

Maybe it has been a pattern and for awhile you thought it was normal but now you realize it isn’t.  You don’t want this pattern to continue but so far nothing has broken the cycle which is why you’re seeking help. Depressed feelings do not discriminate across income, race, location, etc.

There are various types of depression and I believe there is a reason behind yours and at the moment it’s your body and brain’s best way of handling what you have experienced.  Good news-you can learn new ways of handling things where you feel more peace and hope. You are not alone.

I use a combination of therapy modalities to help with anxiety and fear including but not limited to EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and SE (Somatic Experiencing).
