Anxiety & Fear

 
 

You’ve often felt an undercurrent of fear and worry, but you could usually cope and manage it. Perhaps no one knew and maybe you even fooled yourself.

But now…

it feels like too much!

Trouble falling asleep, can’t stay asleep, or BOTH!

So many fears and questions swirl through your mind at one time and sometimes you can’t even name what it is.

Some level of anxiety is a normal response to stress but help is often needed when it interferes with daily functioning in relationships and work. Anxiety can look like panic attacks, phobias, OCD, and more. Anxiety is a stress response to keep you safe or to help you perform at peak levels under stress. But it can misfire, causing fight, flight, or shutdown in social situations in which there is no danger.

 

Anxiety is very treatable and you may notice improvements in a just a few sessions.

You can feel relief! You can feel grounded and be strengthened despite the storm around you. I use a combination of therapy modalities to help with anxiety and fear including but not limited to EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and SE (Somatic Experiencing).
